Jovana Jovanovic
I have been a part of NETCONOMY for 5.5 years, and I can confidently say that it has been a remarkable journey. Starting as a Scrum Master in distributed teams, my primary goal was to establish efficient team processes and foster a sense of cohesion and productivity. I had the opportunity to work in both regular scrum teams and in a scaled setup, gaining valuable experience along the way.
However, over time I have decided to change my role, and I transitioned into a Product Owner, responsible for driving e-commerce development across markets in the EMEA region. Collaborating closely with a dedicated team, we have been focusing on enhancing the digital experience and implementing innovative features aligned with our clients' strategic roadmap.
The company is committed to employees’ growth and development, and I was given the opportunity to become a chapter lead, leading and supporting the development of four product owner colleagues. This experience doesn’t only expand my leadership skills but also allows me to contribute to the growth and success of my team members.

Jovana Grujic
I joined NETCONOMY five years ago thanks to the very first Talent Lab frontend traineeship. Coaches involved in Talent Lab did their best to transfer knowledge, improve our soft skills, and get us used to the usual working day in a company. As a result, after finishing the traineeship, we already felt like a part of the team, and we could contribute as well.
At the beginning of my professional career, I expected that I will be coding the whole day, but it turns out that now, after being in the company for so long, I appreciate all the meetings where we can share knowledge, consider different points of view, improve our daily processes or resolve challenges.
Polite and helpful colleagues, having the possibility to work with different nationalities, traveling abroad to other NETCONOMY offices, various remote or on-site team buildings, and having benefits beyond expectations are just some of the things that make me motivated. Although the technologies are changing at an increadible speed, we are quickly finding ways to continue spreading our knowledge, through self-learning platforms, workshops, or internal projects so that in the end we could successfully update projects with the hottest libraries. I would definitely recommend NETCONOMY to anyone who wants to be involved in developing powerful e-commerce platforms, either in a developer or non-developer role.
Irena Jovicic
The first step in my career was applying for the internship program at NETCONOMY in 2016. At first, I was impressed with the organization of the whole internship and how thoroughly it was planned. Coming straight from university, I believe this easy-going program helped me settle in and feel comfortable jumping into the business world. Since then, the internship plan has improved even more, and I am now in charge of coaching and supporting new joiners.
The internship program is divided into logical units, from basic to more advanced topics, with a detailed plan provided to joiners before it starts. Besides a mentor who you can approach anytime, many experienced colleagues are dedicated and involved in each training to support you. One aspect that makes you feel pleasant is that the whole internship group works together, resolves tasks, and supports each other. This is teamwork, one of our most essential values, which new joiners can enjoy from the first day in the company.
After the internship program ends, the next step is to join one of the many international projects and work with colleagues from different NETCONOMY locations. Good cooperation between teams, well-structured processes, and a lot of internal documentation is something that is very rare for companies today – but is quite common at NETCONOMY.
Working in a challenging environment with experienced colleagues and a friendly atmosphere helped me grow as a software engineer and progress quickly in my career. After a few years in the company, I got the opportunity to lead people. I enjoy supporting them in their personal development and career growth by always looking for new possibilities for them, which will help them develop further.
Filip Lukic
I started my career right here at NETCONOMY six years ago. I got into the Talent Lab program – a comprehensive three-month traineeship program – for the role of Software Engineer and had the chance to learn about essential technologies and skills that I would need later in my projects.
After completing thetraineeship program, I was offered a full-time position as a Software Engineer. I still had a lot to learn, but I was surrounded by great people and teammates who were always there to support me and help out with a challenge that I was facing. After working for a few years as a developer, beginning of 2020, I got a chance to swap my role for to become a Solution Architect.
Since I always liked client interactions and wanted to develop in business/technology consulting, I welcomed the opportunity to make this change in an environment I felt comfortable in. Since switching roles, I had a chance to work on multiple pre-sales opportunities and projects, creating the foundation and preparing everything for the dev teams to easily start with the implementation. Throughout my time here, I also had a chance to attend numerous in-house and external trainings, attain different kinds of certifications for technologies that I have been working with, and even have access to dedicated professional coaching in order to advance my career to the next level.
Other than focusing on professional development, for me it’s also important to bond with colleagues and have a great working environment. NETCONOMY does this through numerous team building activities such as cart racing, fencing, board game nights, dinner parties and many, many others. Looking at it now, great atmosphere at the company, being surrounded by young and ambitious people, and the attitude to always help others was a key factor in my initial development here at the company. And also, one of the main reasons why I am still here after so many years.
