Backend Developer (Node.js + AWS)

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a talented and creative software engineer who is eager to learn and passionate about designing, implementing, integrating and deploying scalable cloud software services. In this role you will be part of the distributed engineering team developing and enhancing client's omni-channel communication software and enriching them with AI capabilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform system analysis, collaborate with product managers and software engineers to enhance existing and develop new software components
• Evaluate the trade-offs of different solutions
• Work closely with AWS Cloud Services
• Create reliable, secure, and scalable APIs
• Deliver high-quality, well-written code that is easily supported and maintainable
• Build micro-services, distributed and event-driven systems
• Self-manage timelines and communicate progress to the rest of the team
• Work closely with developers in all phases of SDLC to build quality into our development process

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• 4+ years’ experience as a Backend Software Engineer
• Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js foundations
• Writing clean quality code that’s testable and well documented
• SQL and NoSQL database knowledge
• Experience developing and testing Web/Cloud based services and applications
• AWS foundations (IAM, Lambda, S3, API GW, VPC, Security Groups, VPC subnets, Step Functions, DynamoDB)
• Familiarity with application monitoring and tracing (DataDog or similar tools)
• Experience using Git, JIRA, Docker, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies
• Ability to work as a team and communicate clearly in technical discussions
