We are hiring Data Analyst / Technical Business Analyst
Hybrid working model - Novi Sad or Belgrade office

Job description:
As a Technical Business Analyst with a Data/Reporting focus in Investment banking / Capital markets domain, you will be the linchpin between our data teams and business units, playing a critical role in eliciting requirements, analyzing data, and delivering insights that drive strategic decisions. Your extensive experience with data mapping, profiling, and SQL will inform the development of our data marts and warehouses, supporting our commitment to data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Elicit and document data/reporting-related requirements through probing and active listening.
- Perform hands-on data mapping and create comprehensive data mapping documents.
- Identify starting points for data analysis, comprehend data intricacies, generate data patterns, and extract actionable insights.
- Execute data profiling tasks, including column-level, cross-column, and cross-table profiles, and validate data rules using SQL, Excel, or Python.
- Craft and interpret complex SQL queries, including joins, sub-queries, and analytical functions.
- Understand and articulate basic data warehousing concepts, including schemas, facts, dimensions, and data flows.
- Contribute to agile ceremonies & methodology, implementing release cycles, and processing change requests.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Business and Data Analysis, Data Profiling, and advanced SQL.
- Practical experience in profiling across individual columns, multiple columns, and tables.
- Domain knowledge in Investment Banking/Capital Markets, with a preference for CRM systems familiarity
- Competency in validating data rules within datasets.
- Proficiency in gathering data/reporting related requirements through effective questioning and active listening.
- Ability to understand complex data needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
- Hands-on experience in creating Data Mapping Documents to guide data integration and transformation processes.
- Strong analytical skills to identify starting points for data analysis.
- Capability to comprehend complex datasets and to generate data patterns for insightful business intelligence Ability to write and understand complex SQL queries, including joins and subqueries.
- Experience with data profiling using SQL, Excel, or Python.
- Practical knowledge in Data Mart/Data Warehouse environments.
- Basic data warehousing concepts (Schema, Fact, Dimensions types etc)
- Understand data flow of the project candidate is working on
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 5+ years of relevant experience
Nice to have:
- Exposure to cloud platforms and No-SQL databases
- Understanding and practical experience with agile ceremonies and methodologies.
- Demonstrable experience in implementing release cycles and managing change requests.
One of the prerequisites for this position is that the prospective candidate must possess a valid work permit for Serbia.
