Data Scientist in The Business Intelligence (BI) Team

JOB OVERVIEW: 

As a Data Scientist in the Business Intelligence team, you will leverage your analytical skills and business acumen to extract meaningful insights from complex data sets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs, develop predictive models, and create data visualizations that support strategic initiatives. Your work will help drive efficiencies, identify opportunities for growth, and improve overall business performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Data Analysis and Modeling:

• Analyze large, complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems.
• Perform hypothesis testing and statistical analysis to validate findings.

     Business Intelligence:

•  Design and build interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
•  Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic planning and decision-making.
•  Monitor and maintain data quality and integrity across various data sources.

     Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate them into analytical requirements.
• Communicate complex analytical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data infrastructure supports analytical needs

     Continuous Improvement:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in data science and business intelligence.
• Implement best practices in data analysis, modeling, and visualization.
• Identify and advocate for opportunities to enhance data capabilities and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.

• Experience:
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role, preferably within a business intelligence or analytics team.
• Strong experience with data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Experience with BI tools like Power BI is a plus.
• Expertise with SAP ECC data models is a plus.
