Email Postmaster

We’re hiring an experienced Email Postmaster to take full ownership of email infrastructure and deliverability at scale. You’ll be responsible for keeping high-volume sending systems clean, compliant, and high-performing — working across engineering, ops, and compliance teams to ensure every message lands where it’s supposed to.

Our client is a Portugal-based company whose platform is built to simplify the process of launching effective cold calls and email campaigns, making outreach more efficient and results-driven.

Requirements

• 4+ years in technical email management, postmaster, or deliverability-focused roles
• Expertise in email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI) and outbound SMTP/ESP systems
• Experience with Postmaster Tools (Google, Microsoft), SNDS, Spamhaus, Barracuda, etc.
• Strong understanding of feedback loops, ISP/ESP policies, and compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR)
• Proven ability to resolve blacklisting, reputation drops, and deliverability issues at scale
• Comfortable working with DNS records, MTA logs, abuse handling, and sender reputation systems
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Scripting/programming skills (Python, Node.js, Go, etc.) for automation and monitoring
• Experience with distributed email infrastructure and multi-domain sending environments
• Familiarity with legal or compliance discussions with ISPs or authorities
• Background in SaaS, martech, or other B2B outbound platforms

Responsibilities

• Own the full sending ecosystem: SMTP servers, ESPs, IP pools, domains, DNS, feedback loops
• Maintain and implement email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI)
• Monitor sender reputation and address blocklists, bounces, abuse reports, and FBLs
• Manage relationships with ISPs, ESPs, and postmaster tools across platforms
• Ensure inbox placement, deliverability health, and policy compliance across systems
• Respond rapidly to deliverability threats or abuse complaints with root-cause analysis and fixes
• Collaborate with engineering to implement warm-up, rotation, and infrastructure improvements
• Develop SOPs, alerting systems, dashboards, and compliance documentation
• Stay ahead of industry trends, anti-abuse policies, and platform requirements
