The Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our EarnOS platform, the mobile rewards-based business division of Mode Mobile. This role is ideal for someone who embodies “Founder Mode”—a leader with the vision and urgency of an entrepreneur and the operational excellence of an integrator.

The ideal candidate has been a founder or part of a founding team, not just a manager, and brings a strong background in operations with a proven ability to streamline processes and drive execution. They should have robust B2C experience and a deep understanding of ad-based and subscription-centric revenue models, and experience in scaling B2B and channel partnerships.

As the owner of this business line, the General Manager will be fully accountable for the success of EarnOS. They will oversee all aspects of the business, including Product, Engineering, and Sales, which will report directly into this role. The General Manager will drive strategy, execution, and performance, and will be a key member of the executive team, reporting directly to the CEO of the broader company, Mode Mobile. This is a fully remote position with team members located in the US and internationally.

Who You Are and What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve growth and profitability targets.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the business division, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes.
  • Leverage extensive experience in driving revenue growth to identify and execute strategic opportunities that expand revenue streams and increase market share.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to expand market presence and increase sales.
  • Collaborate effectively with the executive team to refine the company’s vision and strategic direction.  
  • Effectively work with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, improve product offerings, and increase user satisfaction.
  • Analyze market trends and user feedback to inform revenue strategies and product enhancements.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, accountability, and innovation.
  • Set clear objectives and performance goals for team members and conduct regular performance feedback sessions.
  • Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance including forecasting, and implement cost-control measures. Provide financial understanding and support to improve profitability and financial performance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, vendors, and customers.
  • Drive innovation by staying ahead of industry trends and implementing best practices.
  • Regularly assess and report on business performance, making adjustments as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Leverage technology to enhance business operations and drive growth, ensuring the company remains competitive in the tech industry.
  • Utilize Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to set and track measurable goals, ensuring alignment across the organization, and implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational success.

What You Bring to the Team

  • 7+ years of experience in operations and revenue management, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role within a tech startup, app-based, or mobile gaming business with ad-centric revenue models. Founder or co-founder experience in a tech startup is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of revenue growth, increasing market presence, and operational excellence.  
  • Strong background in sales within our industry, with experience selling to publishers and agencies.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic planning, and financial management skills. 
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making. High level of ownership and accountability. 
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Subject matter expertise in the tech industry, specifically in mobile applications and digital marketing.
  • Start-up experience with a process-oriented approach to managing business operations, including experience with OKRs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience; MBA is a plus.
