Head of Software Development – Fintech Platform

About the company

We are a financial platform designed for Content creators and Agencies, offering funding solutions, earnings analytics and automated financial management.

We are looking for a Head of Software Development to lead our engineering team, build the technical roadmap, and ensure a scalable, secure, and high-performance platform.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

• Define the technical vision and architecture for Company’s financial platform.
• Build and manage a high-performing engineering team (recruit, mentor, and scale the team).
• Ensure best practices in security, scalability, and code maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, design, and compliance teams to drive development priorities.

System Design & Development

• Architect and implement a scalable microservices-based system.
• Oversee development of key platform components, including:
  • Creator Hub
  • Agency Hub
  • Underwriting Hub
  • Real-time financial monitoring system
• Lead integration of Content sharing platform API, Plaid API, and Stripe/ACH payments.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and security of the system.

DevOps & Security

• Implement CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud deployments (AWS/GCP).
• Ensure regulatory compliance (KYC, AML, PCI DSS) for handling financial transactions.
• Manage data encryption, OAuth authentication, and secure user data storage.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

• 8+ years of experience in full-stack development.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams (preferably in fintech, SaaS, or financial platforms).
• Deep experience with:
  • Frontend: React.js, Next.js, Tailwind CSS
  • Backend: Node.js, Express.js (or NestJS)
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB (optional)
  • Cloud Infrastructure: AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
  • API Development: REST, GraphQL, Webhooks
• Experience in automated data validation and analysis.

Leadership & Communication

• Experience leading teams of developers, engineers, and DevOps specialists.
• Strong project management skills (Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with non-technical teams.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and make fast, informed decisions.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Firebase Functions).
• Knowledge of machine learning models for risk assessment in underwriting.
• Experience in fintech startups or high-growth SaaS platforms.
