Junior QA Engineer (Automation)

We are a global software company specializing in the payment processing industry and serving financial institutions worldwide.

Our main product is a digital payments software platform WAY4 – a card processing system. We provide our award-winning innovative WAY4 digital payments software platform for banks, processors, telcos, national switches, fleets, and other companies in over 100 countries.

The Junior QA Engineer will be part of our Custom Development QA team and will assist in testing WAY4 products, performing functional and regression testing, and supporting the overall QA processes.

What You’ll Do:

• Performing functional and regression testing using proprietary company's tools
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of automated regression tests
• Reporting and tracking bugs in the Jira system
• Updating and maintaining test documentation
• Assisting in configuring and monitoring the execution of autotests in CI (GitLab)
• Supporting test strategy implementation for company's internal tools

What You Bring:

• Educational background in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Knowledge of software testing theory 
• Basic knowledge of one or more programming languages (Java, C++, C#, Groovy, Python)
• Familiarity with CI systems (TeamCity, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, Bitbucket, GitLab, or similar
• Experience working with Linux at the user level
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to learn new technologies and improve technical skills
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively

Good to Have:

• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, Selenium WD)
• Understanding of payment processing or banking industry concepts
• Familiarity with databases (Oracle, PL/SQL)
• Familiarity with Docker
• Previous exposure to software development lifecycle and QA methodologies
