Lead Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Lead Developer to join our team. As a Lead Developer, you will make an impact by being part of the technical decisions that guide the development of Atomia. You will collaborate closely with your talented development team and work hands-on with the team to create a stellar product you will use yourself.

You will be responsible for overseeing the development of our software products and ensuring that they are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards. Our product is complex, and you will be facing exciting challenges daily.

You will be coding on a daily basis, implementing user stories that are more technically challenging along with your team. Sometimes you code unit tests. Other times you file on the development environment. In short, programming is an important part of your mission.

Besides the exciting challenges you will be working on daily, Atomia is a remote company.

Your Missions

• Own the development process, from working with the product owner to ensure epics are broken down into user stories to the final stages of deployment.
• Guide your team in implementing user stories, ensuring the technical requirements, underlying architecture, best practices are met and deadlines are adhered to.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the development team, enhancing their skills through constructive feedback and code reviews.
• Drive technological decisions within the team, initiating discussions about architecture, features, and design choices. Play an active role in shaping our product.
• Be hands-on with the coding process, working side-by-side with the team to meet set targets and deadlines.
• Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement new technologies and approaches, striving for continuous improvement in the development process.
• Ensure that the team follows established methods and tools, maintaining high-quality technical solutions across the board.

To be successful in this role, you have:

• 4+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
• A good grasp of the common elements of a modern web development stack and hands-on experience in frontend, backend, or full-stack development.
• Deep knowledge and long experience with most of the technologies we use.
• Keeping up to date with technology developments, best practices, and methodologies in the software field is a natural part of your life.
• You always have end-users in mind, and you use that to guide your decisions.
