We are looking for an Android Developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse Android devices. Your primary focus will be the development and maintenance of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.
What will you do?
- Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code;
- Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Kotlin code;
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application;
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs;
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization;
What skills do you need?
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes;
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices;
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git;
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning;
- Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces;
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements;
- Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines;
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks;
- A knack for benchmarking and optimization;
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services;
- Good understanding of use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers;
- Good understanding of cloud message APIs and push notifications;
- Good understanding of continuous integration;

Konkretno u c++ timu je projekat legacy, pa se više radio benchmarking, server tuning, pomoćne interne aplikacije - raznovrsan posao, nije samo čist development. Celokupno iskustvo sa poslodavcem je pozitivno, odnos prema zaposlenima super. Hibridni rad, dolasci u kancelariju/kod klijenta u zavisnosti od dogovora sa timom. Ima i ljudi koji nisu iz Beograda i rade potpuno remote.
Zamerke
Konkretno za Tyllo kao poslodavca nemam zamerke, zamerke prevashodno upućujem ka klijentu - slab i nesistematičan onboarding na kompleksan sistem, slaba dokumentacija i lični utisak da je tim prevelik za količinu posla koja treba da se obavi, pa smo često ostajali bez taskova ili delili jednostavne taskove na 2+ osobe, što je bilo neefikasno. Međutim, u trenutku kada sam napustila kompaniju bile su u toku akcije na strani klijenta da se ovi nedostaci poboljšaju, tako da je možda već sada situacija bolja.
