Senior Front-End Engineer

Relio is a Swiss Fintech company with offices both in Zurich and Belgrade. Our innovative startup is launching a fully digital payment account for businesses in Switzerland. Our offering is built on a compliance technology empowering Relio to effectively serve companies with complex business setups.

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to take ownership of the development of our frontend applications, set and uphold best practices, and create a modern, scalable, and maintainable codebase. This is a hands-on position for a proactive professional passionate about crafting outstanding user experiences. In this role, you will work closely with backend engineers, designers, and product managers to transform our vision into reality and pave the way for future features and enhancements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the front-end development process, ensuring high-quality code and scalable solutions
• Enhance and optimize the existing codebase to improve performance, accessibility, and maintainability
• Build and maintain dynamic, responsive user interfaces leveraging modern design libraries or frameworks
• Develop responsive layouts that ensure seamless functionality across various devices and platforms
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and continuously integrate best practices into our development processes

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience
• Proficiency in React or similar frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, Angular)
• Extensive experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or Recoil
• Expertise in server-side rendering (SSR) and optimizing frontend performance
• Strong understanding of caching strategies (e.g., React Query, SWR) and experience in building resilient, high-performing applications
• Experience in building responsive layouts that adapt seamlessly across various devices
• Familiarity with build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite, Parcel)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deploying front-end applications
• Experience working with modern design systems or tools (e.g., Tailwind, CSS, SASS, or similar)
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress)
• Experience with cross-platform mobile development will be considered as a plus.
• Fluent in English
