Senior Site Reliability Engineer

As a Senior SRE, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our infrastructure remains secure, scalable, and optimized for peak performance. Your responsibilities will include managing microservices deployed in Docker containers and orchestrated with Kubernetes.

This role offers hands-on experience with diverse technologies, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on our infrastructure projects while addressing the evolving needs of our users.

Job location: Remote / Serbia

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and scale our Kubernetes-based digital edge fabric and PhotonIQ clusters across multiple cloud platforms, including AWS, GCE, and Linode
• Work closely with Development and QA teams to optimize infrastructure, provide support, and ensure high performance and reliability
• Manage and monitor Linux environments, handling installations and resolving software or hardware issues
• Design and improve Kubernetes operators and infrastructure tools to enhance visibility, control, and efficiency across all clusters
• Participate in global incident management team, engaging in on-call rotations to maintain uninterrupted system performance

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related roles, with a strong track record in managing cloud-based, geo-distributed environments
• In-depth knowledge of Linux systems, particularly distributions like Ubuntu
• Proven proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for orchestrating and managing containerized systems
• Advanced scripting skills in Python, Go, or Shell, with a strong focus on automating repetitive tasks
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, capable of diagnosing and resolving complex technical challenges
• Strong communication skills, self-motivated, and driven with a customer-focused approach
• Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes and Docker ecosystems at scale
• Expertise in designing, automating, securing, and supporting high-performance data stacks in containerized and Kubernetes-based environments
• Demonstrated experience overseeing critical production systems in high-demand settings
• Excellent knowledge of English, written and spoken
