KEBA Novi Sad is founded in 2012, as a subsidiary of the Austrian company KEBA AG, which was founded in 1968 in Linz. Alongside Industrial Automation as the major business area, some of our other areas of interest are banking automation, energy automation, electro-mobility, logistics, etc.

What would you do in KEBA

As a Software Developer, you will join an engineering team dedicated to creating advanced solutions using the latest technologies in Industrial Automation. Keba is looking for a new team member with proven experience in Java development. Additionally, having prior experience in robotics or embedded development is highly advantageous for a candidate.

You will be facing various activities and challenges with development potential in the company. Some of the key topics highlighting what we do here are:

Development/maintenance of TeachView – hand terminal compatible robotics interface for creation of robot programs based on KEBA Robotics software.
Integration of KEBA HMI terminals with 3rd party controllers (such as Siemens S7 PLCs, FANUC CNC, Beckhoff controllers etc.).
Implementation/maintenance of middleware services within our KemroX platform.

If you join our team, your primary responsibility will be to use your Java skills to advance the development of TeachView. Additionally, if opportunities arise, you may also work on other related projects, with the assurance of hands-on guidance from our senior engineers.

Experience/Skills Required

► 3+ years of Java development experience

► Strong OOP know-how and background

► Knowledge of Git or other source control management systems

► Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills applicable to complex systems

► Self-motivated team player with a sense of responsibility and ability to work under limited supervision

► Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar fields

► Excellent English, written and verbal communication skills

Experience/Skills Desired

► Knowledge of C/C++ would be a huge plus!

► Knowledge of C# or scripting languages is also welcome

► Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipeline

► Working knowledge of Linux operating system is appreciated

► Experience with Agile software development, especially with SCRUM

► Experience in or affiliation towards robotics or automation technologies is a plus
