Tech Lead

We are Cloud Horizon, a team of highly skilled, enthusiastic and friendly people that help businesses build their complex and sometimes life-changing products. We also build our own products along the way. We're a team of 25 spread out across two offices in Montreal and Belgrade, but the whole development team is in Serbia. Tech Lead

About position…

This position is really important to us. A new team member is to work closely with the CEO and the whole development team. If all goes well, dedication, enthusiasm and proactivity will lead us toward our primary goal and the tech lead will become the new CTO.

For starters, your mission will be to help us build and improve a big and important project for a well-known international organization (who is our most important client - hope the others will not be offended). Don't worry because you are new - our team of senior developers will be your ally.

What would be your responsibilities?

• Build and evolve a complex web application and integration through the full project life cycle of design, analysis, development, testing, deployment, delivery and support/maintenance
• Estimating tech parts of projects and writing project tech specs
• Working closely with CEO and participate in meetings with potential clients
• Mentoring and helping colleagues
• Code review
• Interviewing
• Implementing best practices in order to improve our performance

Are you a good fit for this role?

You are a good fit for this role if you are an experienced Senior full stack developer that worked on multiple projects (from legacy code to startups with emerging technologies) and on complex applications, from planning and development to maintenance, optimizations, and improvements. You worked with different tech stacks, from Java8 J2EE and JBoss to at least one front end framework, such as Angular or React, and various databases, including MS SQL and MySQL.

If you, in addition to these skills, have some team lead experience, you have excellent communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills - you are always welcome to our team.
