Back End Developer

MG Group is hiring for one of our clients, the renowned German company DB Dialog GmbH. We are looking for a Data Warehouse Backend Developer to join a team focused on building and operating a robust and powerful data warehouse to derive valuable insights from data. By developing database solutions and implementing ETL processes, the developer will help provide critical KPIs to optimize business processes within the company.

Your responsibilities:

- You will merge data from various source systems in our central data warehouse to enable KPI-based management, the creation of accounting/billing documents and the analysis of l key figures in business intelligence
- You will advise various stakeholders and contribute your own ideas regarding the creation of new KPI’s and optimization of existing processes
- You will use your skills in Oracle SQL and Transact-SQL to implement processes
- To implement technical requirements, you will connect external data sources with our data warehouse by creating ETL pipelines
- You will provide data via outbound interfaces and will be responsible for creating the necessary documentation
- You will carry out technical tests independently and provide support in functional testing
- You will independently drive the continuous improvement of the data warehouse with your expertise in Oracle and the use of best practices

Your profile:

- You are a computer scientist or IT specialist, or you have successfully completed a similar degree or vocational training program with an IT focus or have earned comparable qualifications
- With your strong understanding of numbers and eye for detail, you love creating KPIs and designing standards
- You can connect new source systems to data warehouses in a structured way and analyze and interpret the results
- You are familiar with Git, Oracle SQL and Transact-SQL
- You enjoy working independently as part of a highly motivated team
- You are experienced in working with various stakeholders and external service providers
- Basic knowledge of the use of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Linux is a plus
- You can communicate fluently in German and English in everyday and professional situations. You can effectively explain technical concepts to others.
- You do not find it a challenge to write and understand professional texts (minimum language skills level B2).
