Business Analyst

We are looking to hire a Business Analyst with some experience in market data domain.

Responsibilities for the Business Analyst part of the job:

• Work with our Product team representative to understand the requests from EEX on a regular basis.
• Estimate the work involved/which teams need to be involved in each request (we use Jira to manage our tickets).
• Create Jira tickets for required teams as needed.
• Agree on due dates with the product team representative, which will be communicated back to EEX. This involves collaborating with the rest of the EEX dedicated team to understand capacity.
• Following up with teammates to make sure we stay on track with our progress. If we run into any blockers, communicate that to our product team representative.
• Posting any release notes or useful information upon ticket completion.

Responsibilities for the Metadata/QA part of the job:

• EEX provides us with a metadata specification when they are either launching new products or changing an existing product. We need to configure metadata in our database to meet their requirements.
• Once it is configured, we work with the relevant EEX team members to test the MarketView platform to ensure everything is working as expected.
• We do our work in a QA environment, then the production environment process and consider EEX's approval before we do deployments to production. Another reason to keep in close contact with our product team representative so we are always in coordination with EEX. 

Skill requirements:

• Some experience as a business analyst in some capacity (1-2 years would be fine).
• Exposure to metadata is preferred.
• Some exposure to SQL Server is preferred but can be taught.
• Soft skills: close attention to detail, good communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, willingness to learn specific process around EEX, ambition to see projects through start to finish.
