Context:

Working in the Management Information Systems (MIS) department, the mission is to, in an international and multicultural environment:

• Manage and administer the company's data management systems
• Ensure consistency, quality and security of databases and data
• Collaborate with the Professional Services and Engineering teams

Hierarchy and interactions:

• Reports to the Database Service Manager
• In interaction with the departments: Engineering, Data, Support

Autonomy of the position:

• Individual contributor

Mission:

• Design and specify the parameters and architecture of the database in conjunction with the IT architect (structure, parameters, modeling)
• Administer SQL servers for the OLTP and BI databases (data quality monitoring, service level monitoring, user access and security management) on production and non-production
• Deal with performance issues
• Improve existing systems: rationalization, monitoring, industrialization, automation
• Contribute to projects: migration to the Cloud, dockerization of database services
• Manage evolutions, migrations and backups
• Update operating documents
• Provide technical support to users and development teams
• Provide DBA expertise and actively contribute to the resolution of incidents
• Guarantee the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data to internal and external users
• Ensure a technical watch

Skills:

• Fluent English
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
• Knowledge of best practice for installing SQL Server instances in a VMWare virtualized environment (RDM, VMDK) with a SAN storage space
• Experience of installing, configuring and cloning a SQL instance on a physical or virtualized platform
• Mastery of the Transact-SQL language
• Knowledge of SSIS/ SSRS/ SAAS/ MDS
• Knowledge of the different backup and restore strategies and their implementations
• Knowledge of SQL Server high availability (Cluster, Alwayson) and replication
• Know how to optimize the functioning of an instance and its databases
• Easy communication with development teams
• Demonstrated ability to work in project mode
• Powershell would be a plus

Technical Requirements:

• SQL Server (2017 and 2019)
• RavenDB or another NoSQL database
• MySQL would be a plus
• SQL on Google Cloud Platform would be a plus but not required
• Experience with a SQL upgrade in production would be desirable
• Have knowledge of Cloud database services: docker, K8s.
