Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in managing the Windows server infrastructure to ensure smooth operations.
- Supports network and information security systems for end users.
- Provides assistance in administering the network, including basic tasks with Cisco equipment.
- Participates in data backup processes to ensure secure storage and recovery of PC data.
- Assists in the procurement and setup of computer equipment, including basic tasks related to server implementations and operating system upgrades.
- Supports system development efforts under the guidance of senior team members.
- Provides basic technical support to end users, including troubleshooting computers, printers, and other peripherals.
- Supports system updates and routine maintenance of end-user PCs, including tasks like patch management, virus checks, and basic backup file management.
- Helps with employee data management as directed.
- Monitors and ensures the functionality of printers, copiers, and other office devices.
- Assists in maintaining video surveillance system functionality.
- Stays informed about ICT trends and participates in internal training sessions.
- Contributes to maintaining technical documentation of systems and processes by following established procedures.
- Assists in documenting technical knowledge to address common end-user inquiries.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or ongoing studies) in electrical engineering, software engineering, or a related technical field.
- Up to 1 year of relevant professional experience or internship in IT roles.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows Server OS & Clients; Linux Server OS & Clients; and MS Office products.
- Knowledge of fundamental network concepts, including e-mails, firewalls, network security, and protocols.
- Familiarity with maintaining and troubleshooting PCs and printers is desirable.
