Lead QA Engineer

Senior Automation QA Engineer (Python) 

Our client, one of the leading developers of software for interactive TV in the USA, is currently seeking to hire a QA Automation Engineer. Our project is a highly loaded application which ensures interaction between end users’ subscriber devices and services provided by TV operators. 

Responsibilities: 

• Functional automatic tests development (Python), 
• Refactoring and updating existing tests and test framework components (Python), 
• Configuring, updating and development performance and load testing environment and framework, 
• Automation testing on Python, 
• Performance and load testing, 
• Analyzing of performance and load testing results, 
• Prepare reports, 
• Product issues investigation, 
• Code review, 
• Work as a member of software project team, in collaboration with other members, possible located in different geographies. 

Required skills & behaviours: 

• At least 5 years of experience in testing, understanding of base testing principles and concepts, 
• Experience in Embedded devices testing, 
• Test plan/ test case creation experience, 
• Knowledge of Python - in particular, the implementation of network interaction (tcp, udp, http), multithreading; 5+ years of experience, 
• OOP principles understanding and an experience in commercial development using Python (products and / or automated tests), 
• General Shell, Bash scripting, 
• Strong knowledge of Linux, 
• Basic knowledge of C++, 
• Experience with OpenCV, 
• Experience with Tesseract, 
• Experience with CSV (in particular, Git), 
• Experience in QAM and IP TV, 
• DASH and HLS standard knowledge, 
• FFMPEG knowledge, 
• Knowledge of media streaming services, audio and video coding. Video stream creation (live and On demand), 
• Knowledge of encrypting video (Widevine, Playready etc), 
• English (B2).
