What’s the opportunity?
We are looking for a talented junior developer to join our Games Team. You would be involved with gaming content distribution to well-known international gaming companies with over a million players, working with the in-house games development team, other third-party content makers and in touch with our operator clients.
Your role is to work on our Remote Gaming Server, alongside the rest of the development team. You would be an integral member of the team, helping to maintain our RGS product ‘in the wild. This would include helping with game and RGS deployments, managing our reporting and monitoring services, helping to identify issues when they occur, as well as taking the initiative to streamline and automate tasks.
You would be part of a small development team, with plenty of space to develop, and learn new skills – including third-party services like AWS, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Kibana, etc. We run our team in a democratic fashion – so there is plenty of space for your ideas to be heard, and to influence our processes. This is not a shift-based role – working hours are normal business hours.
Skills:
- Experience with services development (development and/or testing);
- Experience with relational databases (SQL, basic administration);
- Experience with testing/consuming web APIs using Postman or similar tool;
- Good understanding of Linux based systems and scripting;
- Experience with distributed version control systems such as git;
- Understanding of build and configuration management tools;
- Some knowledge of large scale monitoring/alerting solutions concepts and tools.
The following would be a bonus:
- We use languages/technologies like Go, JavaScript and MySQL – being able to read and understand code in those or similar technologies would be very desirable;
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS);
- Experience with integrating external systems and APIs;
- a degree to BS/MS level, in Computer-Science, Electronics, Mathematics or similar.
