SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Expert

About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP Expert to join our team and lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-based integration solutions. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform services, integration technologies, and cloud architecture, with a proven ability to deliver complex integration projects connecting SAP and non-SAP systems. 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop solution concepts for SAP applications tailored to customer needs
• Lead technical workshops and provide architectural guidance for BTP-based solutions
• Design and implement integration scenarios using SAP BTP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management, Open Connectors)
• Develop and maintain iFlows for integration patterns including SOAP, REST, OData, IDoc, and SFTP
• Design target architecture (BTP/CAP on Cloud Foundry, integration landscape, security concept)
• Configure and manage SAP BTP subaccounts, security, and user management
• Implement security best practices including OAuth, certificates, and credential management
• Support SAP S/4HANA Cloud and on-premise integration scenarios
• Troubleshoot complex issues and optimize integration flow performance
• Create comprehensive technical documentation including design documents and deployment guides
• Collaborate with functional consultants, developers, and external vendors
• Examine architecture decisions with regard to DevOps, customer extensibility, and licensing requirements 
  

Requirements

• Profound expertise in at least 4 of the following areas:
• CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) — building cloud-native business apps using Node.js or Java; CDS data modeling, service definitions, OData exposure, HANA Cloud integration
• RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) — OData-based services and Fiori apps on S/4HANA and BTP ABAP Environment; Business Objects, Behavior Definitions, CDS Views, Draft handling
• SAP Fiori / UI5 — Fiori Elements (template-driven), freestyle UI5 development, Fiori Launchpad configuration, UX design guidelines
• SAP Build — Build Apps (visual app builder), Build Process Automation (workflow and RPA), Build Work Zone (unified business portal)
• Integration — SAP Integration Suite, API Management, Event Mesh (asynchronous event-driven architecture)
• AI & Automation — SAP AI Core / AI Launchpad, Joule (Generative AI / SAP copilot), Process Automation (RPA + Workflows)
• Platform & DevOps — Cloud Foundry & Kyma (Kubernetes), BTP Cockpit & Subaccount management, CI/CD pipelines (SAP pipeline service, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)

Languages: Excellent communication skills in English. German is an advantage.
