Overview:
The IGT Advantage® Systems team is providing enterprise-class solutions for managing all aspects of casino gaming operations. Through the use of leading-edge hardware and software solutions, we aim to provide new ways that casino operators can interact with their customers and manage their daily businesses.
As part of this effort, we are seeking a Software QA Engineer who can contribute to the testing of such innovative solutions within IGT systems and deliver a world class customer experience. The successful candidate will have a passion for quality and be familiar with testing of data-driven applications and data interfaces.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Designing/implementing robust and scalable test scenarios in Xray Jira
- Learn and understand the product functionalities, architecture, and design
- Learn the QA processes, practices, and tools in use
- Writing clear and concise defect reports
- Provide training on solution for client and internal teams
- Report bugs found in Xray Jira system
- Communicate with teams in different time zones on a daily basis
- Execute planned test cases
- Direct involvement in payment service provider's certification
- Troubleshoot every bug by investigating log files and accessing database before reaching out to developer
Must Have:
- Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years in software engineering and/or software testing experience
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes and methodologies
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Must be detail oriented, organized and able to multi-task
- Have a passion for software quality
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Occasional travel required
Nice to Have:
- Experience executing automated software tests
- Experience testing web based/mobile products
- Experience working with the following technologies/OS: Linux, Docker, Kubernettes
- Experience testing REST interfaces
- Willing to achieve high-quality work results regardless of work complexity
- Build collaborative relationships both internally and externally
- Decision making to identify and understand situations; identify opportunities to proactively resolve
- Personal energy to proactively address situations and adopt a positive approach; resilience in front of change and obstacles
