Scrum Master

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with in-depth knowledge of Agile SCRUM methodology to lead and support our development teams. The Scrum Master will be responsible for ensuring that SCRUM practices and principles are followed and that teams are operating at their highest efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, excellent communication and facilitation skills, and a track record of successful project delivery in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog grooming sessions.
• Agile Coaching: Act as a servant leader by coaching team members on Agile principles and practices, and helping them continuously improve their Agile mindset and performance.
• Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment where team members work together towards achieving sprint goals and overall project objectives.
• Remove Impediments: Identify and help remove any obstacles or roadblocks that may hinder the team’s progress or performance, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Continuous Improvement: Work closely with teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and ensure that Agile processes are being followed effectively.
• Sprint & Release Planning: Help plan and manage sprint goals, ensure that the backlog is properly prioritized, and ensure that the team has a clear understanding of the scope and goals for each sprint.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate progress and performance to stakeholders, ensure alignment between development teams and product owners, and help manage expectations.
• Metrics and Reporting: Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), such as velocity, burn-down charts, and team health, to ensure continuous delivery and improvement.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks to project delivery and work with the team to mitigate or address them proactively.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, facilitating Agile teams using SCRUM methodology.
• Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is highly preferred.
• Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile frameworks, particularly SCRUM, and experience applying Agile principles in software development environments.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues early and help drive solutions.
• Team Building: Proven ability to build trust, foster team collaboration, and create a high-performance team culture.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Tools: Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Trello) is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a scaled Agile environment (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).
• Familiarity with software development life cycles and technical terminology.
• Experience in coaching teams on continuous delivery practices and DevOps concepts.
