Senior Manager Software Development

Location Details: Serbia Remote

 At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

Our managed WordPress hosting product serves over 1 million sites. On top of that, we have a couple of million WordPress websites on other products. GoDaddy also has ‘enterprise solutions’ that are used by different big industry names. Having all this in mind, we are working on a very large scale and that is a fun challenge in itself. This team's focus is on delivering a managed solution for WordPress hosting, whilst the work revolves around WordPress, it usually has little to do with it.

Are you an engineering manager who is motivated, cares about code maintainability, performance, scalability, and enjoys experimenting with different approaches and technologies? If so, this role may be a phenomenal fit for you.

What you'll get to do...

• Lead a team of up to 15 software engineers, responsible for their ongoing learning and career development
• Accountable for code quality, scalability, and testability
• Turn sophisticated business objectives into simple and scalable solutions
• Working collaboratively with a distributed team to achieve business objectives
• Through using data and analytics, evaluate to improve our products and customer experience

Your experience should include...

• 3+ years proven experience managing and development teams
• 7+ years demonstrated ability in software development
• Proficient in both back-end and front-end development, with experience in leading teams of engineers with diverse technical abilities.
• Experience across automation of different processes, from build tools to monitoring
• Proven knowledge of the agile development methodology

You might also have...

• Knowledge of AWS technologies
• Experience crafting highly scalable software solutions
• Experience working with containerized solutions
• Familiarity with standard methodologies for software security
