Software Development Engineer in Test

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks for desktop application
• Configure and introduce Unit, Component and Integration Testing Framework
• Design, implement, and execute automated test scripts to verify software functionality and performance
• Collaborate with development teams to understand software requirements and identify potential testing challenges; also to challenge unit and integration test coverage
• Perform manual testing when necessary and contribute to test case creation
• Troubleshoot, debug, and report issues to the development team
• Continuously improve testing processes and tools
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for testing and quality assurance
• Ensure test coverage for all critical paths and monitor results to identify areas for improvement

Must-have:

• 4+ years of automation testing experience
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#)
• Proven experience in designing and implementing Python-based test automation frameworks
• Solid understanding of software development and testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum, TDD, BDD, etc.)
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub)
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with cloud-based testing tools and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of performance testing and tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with mobile app testing (Android/iOS)
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
