Automation Software Engineer (Python)

For a new team we are seeking an experienced Senior Development Engineer with a strong background in Quality Assurance (QA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess significant expertise in software development and testing, with proficiency in various programming languages  nd modern development practices. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement robust software solutions while ensuring high-quality standards through effective QA methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using Java, Python, and C++.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement automated testing frameworks and processes to enhance code quality and software reliability.
• Utilize Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment to streamline development workflows.
• Monitor application performance and stability using tools such as Datadog and Tableau. 
• Analyze and visualize data for performance metrics, making recommendations for improvements. 
• Work with cloud data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the development and production environments.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation within the team.

What You’ll Need
Basic Qualifications 

• Demonstrated experience programming in Python 
• Very comfortable with Linux as a development platform
• Working knowledge of modern source code control tools and CI/CD frameworks
• Ability to read and understand fi rmware code written in C/C++
• Translating product/feature requirements and code changes into test cases
• Deep understanding how embedded components & tech stacks operate
• Ability to document and translate technical workfl ows to potentially non technical audiences 

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient working in Github (PR - Review - Commit) Processes
• Great at coding Unit Test Cases 
• Strong troubleshooting/analytical skills in Jenkins/Python CI/CD environments
• Experience designing and developing test automation with Pytest 
• Embedded System simulators in the cloud (AWS EC2 instances) 
• Enterprise Repository Management Systems (Artifactory)
• Experience using data to substantiate design decisions
