Financial Market Data Engineer

We are seeking an accomplished Financial Market Data Engineer with a deep understanding of commodity financial markets, including both market data and reference data. In this role, you will design and maintain Linux-based systems—on-premises and in cloud environments—to ensure seamless and efficient data pipelines. Your ability to interface with disparate data sources through Python, automate workflows, and perform complex data manipulations will form the backbone of our data-driven decision-making process. As part of our global team, you must excel at communicating complex ideas clearly and effectively in English while collaborating with colleagues across multiple time zones.

Beyond technical skills, we are looking for someone who can thrive in a dynamic environment and manage priorities with minimal supervision. You will be counted on to initiate improvements, identify potential issues before they arise, and propose innovative solutions to optimize our systems and processes. This includes understanding best practices in on-prem and cloud deployments, such as AWS and Azure, to drive cost-efficiency and ensure our data architecture is both scalable and resilient. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of delivering robust and secure technology solutions. We expect at least 5–7 years of combined experience in the following areas:

• Market data analysis and reference, trade and end-of-day data management
• AWS and Azure cloud services and architectures
• SQL databases for data modeling and analytics
• Networking concepts and protocols for stable and secure data transfer
• Linux administration for system optimization and troubleshooting
• GitHub or similar version control platforms for collaborative development
• Python programming for data integration and automation
• Hands on experience with market data feeds such Reuters, Vela is a big plus
