SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Job Summary:

The role will mainly include installation, configuration and support of UNIX, Linux and storage systems.

We are looking for a responsible, committed person, ready to share team spirit and innovative approach.

Job Requirements:

• Serve as a senior systems administrator for UNIX and Linux servers and services.
  • Monitor system performance and utilization
  • Install, configure, and document new servers and applications
  • Maintain servers and system security according to company standards
  • Track vulnerabilities and apply appropriate patches and upgrades
  • Generate statistics for operational review and planning
• Managing Storage Area Network in terms of installation, administration and troubleshooting as well as capacity planning and disaster recovery planning
• Assist with managing VMware virtual infrastructure
• Serve as a 2nd level support in troubleshooting UNIX and Linux application systems.
• Work with the Infrastructure team in developing System Administration Policies and Systems Team long-range planning

Requirements:

• 2+ years of AIX systems administration experience or equivalent UNIX experience
• Experience with AIX 6.1 and 7.1 performance monitoring and tuning tools, installation options, problem determination and recovery, and AIX security
• Experience of supporting pSeries systems in SAN environment is a plus
• Linux Systems Administration/Support experience (RHEL preferable)
• EMC storage administration or equivalent experience
• Experience with enterprise backup solutions
• Experience with writing programming (shell, perl, vbs, powershell scripts) is a plus
• Experience in administration of Java application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic) is a plus
• 4-year degree in computer science, information technology or a related field, or equivalent experience
