What would be your mission?
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior System Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability to support business operations.
What would be your responsibilities?
- Data center and infrastructure management
Oversee and maintain multiple on-premises and cloud data centers to ensure optimal performance and scalability
- Virtualization platform management
Manage and optimize VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter for high availability and performance
- Server management
Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers, ensuring smooth operations and system reliability
- Database and storage management
Manage and maintain MSSQL Servers and NAS storage to support business-critical applications
- Security and compliance
Implement security best practices, maintain data security devices and solutions, and ensure IT infrastructure compliance with PCI and ISO standards. Conduct regular system audits
- System monitoring and troubleshooting
Proactively monitor hardware and system software. Implement and manage system monitoring and alerting tools. Troubleshoot IT related incidents and problems, ensuring minimal downtimes for business-critical applications
- Backup and disaster recovery
Ensure data integrity by configuring and maintaining backup solutions and disaster recovery plans
- User and access management
Manage and maintain access infrastructure, manage user accounts and access rights
- Project management
Manage IT infrastructure projects with in-house and outsourced teams, participate in other departments projects to ensure efficient delivery of IT infrastructure tasks. Provide project updates to management
- Collaboration and support
Work closely with other departments and global partners to support applications and services
- Office infrastructure
Define and implement standards for office infrastructure, employee equipment, and workplace IT solutions
- Asset management and documentation
Maintain an up-to-date IT asset inventory and document infrastructure solutions for transparency and efficiency
What kind of expertise are we looking for?
- University degree in technical science or related field
- 10+ years of experience in similar roles managing IT infrastructure
- Experience with on premise and cloud data centers, including physical and virtual infrastructure components
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, virtualization best practices and VMware backup and recovery solutions
- Strong expertise in Windows and Linux server administration
- Working experience with cloud environments (Azure preferred) and automation
- Web server experience (IIS and Apache)
- Working experience with antivirus, monitoring and alerting systems
- Proficiency in ticketing systems
- Knowledge of security frameworks (PCI, ISO), endpoint protection, security segmentation and server hardening
- Working knowledge of MSSQL server (services, security concepts, failover, backup and recovery)
- Strong expertise in troubleshooting and supporting IT infrastructure and services (DNS, SMTP, NTP, syslog, etc.)
- Deep understanding of the OSI model, IP networking, IP subnetting, VLANs, VPN, NAT, firewall, etc. and ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues in multiple data centers environment
- Understanding of CI/CD models and change management processes
