Job title: Senior UX Designer

About the role and the Team:
As a UX Designer at Hyperoptic, you will craft and enhance user experiences through research-driven design. You'll conduct user research, develop wireframes and prototypes, and map out user journeys to drive intuitive and engaging interactions. Collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and developers, you'll iterate on designs based on user feedback, business insights, and industry trends. You may have experience with UI design or design systems, but this is not essential. A strong ability to apply customer-centric thinking, optimise user journeys, and effectively communicate design ideas is essential to be successful in this role. This role sits within the onboarding team, focused on making the introduction of Hyperoptic services as seamless as possible. You'll play a key part in refining the customer experience during onboarding, ensuring it is intuitive, engaging, and frictionless.
What will you be doing?
- Conduct user research, interviews, and testing to inform design decisions and strategy
- Develop wireframes, storyboards, process flows and sitemaps to effectively communicate design ideas and user journeys
- Work with the Head of Product to drive customer interactions forward in terms of ideas, quality, consistency and engagement
- Map out and optimize existing user journeys to enhance the experience
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback, business insights, and industry trends
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business
- Work closely with colleagues as part of a cross-functional development team
What you'll need to be successful:
- A solid portfolio showcasing your process and thinking skills
- Experience planning and conducting user research, including working with recruitment partners, developing discussion guides and reporting findings
- Strong/expert Figma or other design tool experience as well as good prototyping skills
- Experience working in an iterative manner with designers and developers
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly
- Highly organized and able to manage your time effectively
- Desirable to have UI design skills and Design system experience
What we are looking for:
- Degree or equivalent experience and Project/Programme management accreditation
- Strong experience in product development, product ownership, customer operations or propositions, customer journey design, business analysis, programme/project management background
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels (Telecoms experience and/or experience in a start-up or PE environment is a plus)
- Ability to think strategically, provide practical solutions, and make sound decisions in complex and evolving product and customer journey environments

Ljudi sa malo ili nimalo rezultata bivaju unapređeni i niko zapravo ne zna zašto, što rukovodstvo čini veoma teškim za poštovanje. U proteklih godinu dana i više u sektoru korisničke podrške, sa dolaskom novog šefa podrške i novih operativnih menadžera, stvorena je veoma nezdrava atmosfera u timu. Svako ko iznese kritiku na račun novih inicijativa biva izolovan. Došlo je do toga da se ni tim lideri više ne pitaju za mišljenje — sve odluke donose tri osobe sa veoma ograničenim znanjem i/ili iskustvom u upravljanju. Šef sektora korisničke podrške ima istoriju govorenja negativnih stvari o kolegama nižeg ranga pred drugim zaposlenima, čime podriva autoritet agenata, menadžera i tim lidera. Poznato je oko 10 slučajeva ovakvog ponašanja, ali HR odbija da reaguje dok se ne podnese zvanična tužba za mobing. Šef CS sektora insistira da se razgovori vode iza zatvorenih vrata i bez ikakvog zapisa, verovatno kako bi se zaštitio od mogućih pravnih posledica. Senioritet ti ne donosi nikakva prava. Na godišnjoj evaluaciji možeš da dobiješ povećanje od 0%, bez ikakvog konkretnog objašnjenja. Reći će ti da povratne informacije i pregled plate nisu obavezni. Reći će ti da nisi ključni igrač, ali neće objasniti zašto. Budžeti i benefiti se seku na sve strane, a kruže glasine da će firma uskoro biti prodata. Mnogi su otpušteni i u Srbiji i u Velikoj Britaniji — niko nije siguran.
